This past Christmas, my children were participants of the Gold Star Christmas program from the nonprofit, Believe With Me. Their mission is to bring hope and help to the lives of those left behind when a soldier has lost his life in service to our country.
After simply creating an account and a wish list of a few items for my children, I had no idea what to expect. All I can say is the number of gifts sent far exceeded their wish list! My children’s eyes lit up when they saw the extra-large gift sack under the tree with their names on it and their smiles said it all.
Some of the gifts included snow suits, board games, a baby doll, hot wheels, and so much more. The excitement of all of the gifts sent was overwhelming. I’m just so appreciative that organizations like Believe with Me exist to bring a little extra joy to the holiday season.
